Masked Together

Covid. Asians. Violence. Blacks. This is a split portrait between an Asian and African-American child bound together by a mask. This piece was inspired during the early COVID-19 and BLM movements to show how societies’ love for scapegoating and discrimination would affect the coming generations. I wanted to show the hope that could come with unity and the crossing of labels, the hope that could be a gift for ourselves and our children.
