Writing Contest
Calling all students in Greenville and East St. Louis! Enter the Youth Be Heard Writing contest by 2/15/2026 to win up to a $100 prize and have your work published and featured. Up to four prizes will be awarded per school. The prizes will not be awarded by category, but to the top entries (regardless of the prompt).
East St. Louis, Illinois Contest
Greenville, IL, Middle and High School, and East St. Louis, IL, Middle and High School students are allowed to enter. You can answer in any form of writing, including poetry, story, or personal essay.
While there may only be a few “winners,” we know youth talent is bursting at the seams. We plan to publish several writing submissions with credit to each author. Each person may submit up to three entries. If you have any questions, send us an email at info@youthbeheard.org.
