Youth Be Heard Collaborates with SIUE STEM Program

Nov.-Dec. 2020 Youth Be Heard leads the narrative formation piece of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s PhotoVoice youth program. This program is implemented by the SIUE Environmental Health Investigators and funded by the Science Education Partnerships Award program of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health. Northeast Media Literacy Conference

November 6-7th Youth Be Heard presented through a panel discussion featuring Natasha Casey (YBH Board Member), Renee Childs (YBH Executive Director), and Youth Advisory Board members Andra Lang and Hannah Sterkel.


Critical Media Literacy Conference of the Americas

Oct. 2020 Youth Be Heard presented at the Critical Media Literacy Conference of the Americas on October 18th through a panel discussion with Natasha Casey (YBH Board Member), Renee Childs (YBH Executive Director), Charlotte Cheung (YBH youth advisor), and Diana Edmonds (YBH contributor). The theme of the conference was decolonizing media education.
