How has COVID-19 Impacted You?
Share your thoughts on how Coronavirus has impacted your everyday life.
Everything has changed so quickly. Let’s record these erratic times by sharing what’s new and different due to Coronavirus. For me, journaling about the day is a way to process what’s happening around me when it all seems like a dream. Sometimes I wake up and hope it was all in my head. But it’s not, so instead, I eat large sums of M&M’s and then write about it. I think we will look back on this in 50 years as the time school was canceled for weeks (months?), every major league sport canceled their seasons, and people had to shift their entire lives in a matter of hours.
We want to share several posts with youth written thoughts and creative art. Help us by sharing yours.
You can:
- Write a sentence or a paragraph or two about your observations. We will put together a compilation of youth reaction and how we are all processing this.
- Write a full post (500 words or more). Include a title.
- Write a poem.
- Write about a day in the life of coronavirus.
- Write literally anything else that comes to mind. You’re the creator.
- If you are a visual, music, or video artist, capture what you are seeing that strikes you in these days marked by Coronavirus.
- We are also still taking regular writing and art submissions unrelated to Covid-19.
Include how you would like your name to appear and age.
All can be emailed to submissions@youthbeheard.org or posted on our website here.
Posts may be edited for grammar and content. If significant changes are needed we will email you and start an editing dialogue.
While we are socially isolated, it can help to see how others feel and process change. Youth need to be heard- by each other and by the world.
We are all in this together,
Renee & Youth Be Heard
