The waves at the bottom of this piece symbolize the challenges with racial injustice the American society is going through. These challenges lie in systemic discrimination that result in unfair treatment and inequitable opportunities. Yet, after witnessing unjust treatment, so many reformers hold their arms up and strive to improve this society. Ultimately, the peace represented by the flying dove will arrive. People of all colors and races should unite and treat each other with trust and mutual respect.
