Youth Be Heard is looking for a volunteer editor to spend about two hours per week editing youth submissions to get them ready for publication.

The ideal person would have:

✏ Excellent grammar and writing skills
✏ Ability to take a neutral position on charged topics and openness to differing viewpoints
✏ Knowledge of various genres of writing (we primarily receive poetry and personal essays)
✏ The ability to give constructive feedback to young authors with grace and kindness
✏ Experience with WordPress (or willingness to learn)

This is a great opportunity to get into the writing and publishing space while also making a difference. Youth Be Heard provides free editing and publication on youthbeheard.org to young people between the ages of 13-24 so that all youth, regardless of their resources, can hone and share their voices.
