The nice things people say warm my heart
Things like you’re pretty
You’re patient and really smart
Things like you’re caring and modest
And genuine and beautiful
They tell me “you’re awesome..don’t deny it, it’s futile”
People tell me things like you’re a good person
And you’re good on your instrument
They call me loyal and charming
And extraordinary and considerate
They say I look best when I smile and with my hair curly
They say I’m empathetic, a little crazy and quirky
People say I’m thoughtful and nice
And my cheeks are fat but they look just right
With my beautiful brown eyes and open mind
They call me goofy and funny and wild
And people say I’m adorable when I act like a child
I never realized how much people compliment me
But hey, I’m not complaining
It makes me feel nice when people say such
